does this sound familiar?

Sex feels like a to-do list item that never gets checked off.

I’m tired of not being enough...they are always asking for it, and I just do not have the energy.

Every time we try to talk about sex, it turns into another argument.

We never have time for each other.

We’ve tried date nights, vacations, new things, but it never seems to help.

I want to feel wanted.

Getting Closer (For real this time)

When intimacy feels forced, off, or just plain gone, it’s easy to start wondering what changed. Together, we’ll slow things down, get curious instead of critical, and figure out what’s really blocking closeness. Whether it’s mismatched desire, emotional distance, or just too much stress, I’ll help you rebuild safety, warmth, and the spark that makes connection feel good again.

Understanding Each Other’s Wiring

You and your partner might not experience desire, affection, or intimacy the same way, and that’s okay. Neurodiversity, stress, and past experiences can all shape how you give and receive love. We’ll look at your unique wiring together so you can stop taking everything personally and start understanding each other for who you actually are.

Breaking the Avoidance Loop

Avoiding the hard stuff only makes the silence louder. Together, we’ll figure out what’s keeping you from talking about sex (and everything tied to it). I’ll help you replace shutdowns and defensiveness with curiosity, honesty, and connection that feels safe again.

Finding a therapist who really understands sex and intimacy can be tough. The truth is, most therapists get very little training in sexuality, even in couples work. In grad school, I had one class on sexual concerns. That didn’t feel like enough. So I went deeper. As a Certified Sex Therapist, I’ve completed over 200 hours of advanced education and supervision focused on desire, pleasure, and connection. It’s what allows me to bring real expertise (and zero awkwardness) into conversations about sex.

Frequently Asked Questions

What issues can sex therapy help with?

Sex therapy isn’t just about mismatched desire, it’s also about untangling what gets in the way of pleasure and connection. That might mean addressing pain or discomfort during sex, working through issues like erectile challenges, arousal struggles, or premature ejaculation, or unpacking patterns like compulsive porn use that are starting to impact your relationship. Whatever it is, we’ll talk about it without shame, awkwardness, or judgment, just honest conversations and real solutions.

Do I have to get naked?

Sex Therapy is a type of talk therapy focused on tackling sexual concerns, and performance issues, and reigniting emotional connections. The best part? It's all conducted from the comfort of your couch, fully clothed, and in a safe space. If you're in need of a sexual surrogate, I can offer referrals to some fantastic organizations.

Can you help if I come from a very conservative background?

Sex therapy is for everyone, no matter your background or what messages you grew up with about sex. For many people, religious or cultural beliefs can make it hard to feel fully comfortable in their own sexuality or to express desire openly with a partner. In therapy, we’ll unpack those old stories with compassion and curiosity, so you can build a relationship with sex that feels authentic, safe, and truly yours.
